Privacy Policy
The short version: your data stays on your device. We don't have accounts, we don't track you, and we don't sell anything about you.
What our apps store
Preferences, trip plans, saved content, and settings are stored locally on your device (and in your personal iCloud backup, governed by Apple's terms). We operate no user database and cannot see this data.
Location (Vane & Venture)
With your permission, Vane & Venture uses your location once to set your home base, and uses trip coordinates to plan routes. Coordinates (never your identity) are sent to: Apple WeatherKit for forecasts, Apple Maps for drive times, and our campground service, which relays anonymous coordinate queries to Recreation.gov and caches the public results. We do not log who asked. Location is never collected in the background.
Notifications
Reminders and weather alerts are scheduled locally on your device. We run no push-notification servers and receive nothing when they fire.
Advertising
Some of our apps display house ads promoting our own products via our own ad service. These request no personal information, use no third-party ad networks, and do not track you across apps or websites.
Analytics & tracking
We use no third-party analytics, no fingerprinting, and no cross-app tracking. We may see Apple's standard aggregated, anonymous App Store statistics.
Children
Our apps do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Apps intended for families (such as Adventures of Rory Rose) contain no third-party ads and no data collection; any promotions shown are our own house ads for our own products.
